Enforced School Closure

Should the school need to close due to adverse weather conditions, heating failure etc we will notify parents and carers as follows:

We will notify the local radio station of our school closure - BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.  Please listen early in the morning for any updates.  They will also publish the information on their website - www.bbc.co.uk/radio cambridgeshire

If our school is not listed on their website or announced on the radio that means we are open and your child should attend as usual.

For parents and carers who subscribe to our ParentMail system we will automatically send a text to your registered mobile phone notifying you of school closure.  If you do not subscribe to ParentMail you will not receive a notification.  Please ensure that you keep your ParentMail contact details up-to-date by notifying the school office of any changes.

A message will be posted onto our website at the top of the homepage telling you that the school is closed.

A notice will be placed on the main school gates giving details of any closure, as well as a message on the school's answerphone stating that the school has had to close.

For snow-related closures this difficult decision is not taken lightly, it is dependent upon whether our school staff are able to safely get to and from school.
