Internet Safety Performance

The drama company 'Altru' came into school to act out a play names 'Tangled Web'

It all started with 3 people called: Jay, Brodie and Lily. They were trapped in a room because they had done something wrong on the internet. They each had 1 or 2 problems they all had to solve. At the end of the day there were 5 key messages,

  • ·         Always be aware, people might not be truthful.
  • ·         Be aware of cyber bullying.
  • ·         Be careful about what you are accessing.
  • ·         Don’t share personal information.
  • ·         Keep accounts private.

The key advice for all the issues was to talk to an adult who you can trust even if it’s a difficult conversation to have.

Year 4 & 5 then took part in a drama workshop with the actors. We played games and created freeze frames to get us to think about what being safe online looks like. We pretended to follow one member of the class and talked about how it made us feel.

We had a great time and it’s made us think about staying safe online.
